Oh no I wasn't saying anyone is swimming in money. I'm just saying I'd rather have a fast car "if" I had the money to have a SUV and a fast car which I don't at the moment. All I own is a Altitude and a leased bone stock low end Jetta. Far from fast lol. There was a point where I had a modded FJ Cruiser and a heavily modded/supercharged 2011 M3. Had best of both worlds but times have changed. For me I have no desire to go fast in a SUV is all I'm saying. Others will disagree. I can understand how you have a little bit of everything in a SRT Jeep though. Just not for me is all. Wasn't trying to bash anyone that owns or wants one.

Oh, and it can get through the snow if I choose to use it.

Many of us have only one car for everything. Therefore, it needs to be both fast and serve as an SUV. Plus, if you have a sports car and a slow SUV, what are you taking on long road trips? For people like me, the ideal is something like the Cayenne Turbo - a car that is legit fast but can still function as an SUV. My main gripe with the Cayenne Turbo isn't actually the purchase cost (I can stomach that), but rather the upkeep/repair costs. Given how many miles I drive per year that is a bridge too far.

Re: Jeep Grand Cherokee Hellcat

Back in 1999, I bought a Suzuki Hayabusa. Enough speed to last a lifetime. I don't ride anymore but the crazy insanity of speed that's affordable is in motorcycles, but then you start aging. I'll hit 50 in two years but any ride crotch rockets anymore because of some neurological issues. I do live vicariously through others.

The great this about any SRT is the fun of a drag strip or the blast at stoplights on roads with high speed limits. Unfortunately I moved Eastward so I don't have too many of those. I miss riding but people just don't look for motorcyclists here. SRT is a nice alternative when you want one.

Beside gas will eventually go up. Why not enjoy the fun while it's reasonable?
