2017 Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT For Sale in Chicago IL | 1C4RJFDJ6HC626916 | Serving Skokie, Elmwood Park, and Park Ridge

I love Jeeps and SRT products but they are getting way ahead of themselves with the recent pricing. Leftover 2015s can be had for $12k off sticker, the 2016 Night Editions will probably continue to sit as the 17s are hitting already. You can almost guarantee that all the early builds will be required to check certain options just to be put in as a sold order. Maybe it's time I give up the dream of owning one haha! What in the hell does the name Trackhawk even imply? Hellcat has became a household name almost and they'd be dumb not to cash in on the image they've built it into.

Wasn't there something about SRT and Hellcat being or becoming Dodge only, forcing Jeep to come up with something new?

Yeah we saw how well that panned out. Dodge needs the clout SRT has to sell it's niche products. Jeep on the other hand has a positive branding to go it alone in my opinion. I believe that was supposed to start for the 2015 MY. The SRT Jeep carried the brand from 2012-2014 and then the Hellcat reigned supreme.

Re: This is probably a good indication that the 2018 Hellcat Jeep will be $100k..

I'll say it again. I don't think the SRT Jeep is that great of a buy anymore. Over 3 years and 42,000 miles, my 2014 has fallen apart. It creaks and rattles, the steering is loose, etc. Sure it's fast in the winter, but it's slow in the summer. Dealer network sucks. etc. etc. At $83,500 you can get a well equipped leftover BMW X5 V8. Much better fit and finish inside and out, awesome dealership, zero maintenance for 4 years, and it's faster on average. 0-60 in 4.5 is a conservative number. Does it look as good? No. Is it as exciting? No. But that's not the point. The point is that FCA saying the Jeep is a bargain is a joke. $65k for the $83K listed Jeep here is a bargain.

I get 3.9-4.3 in the winter here and 4.6-5.2 in the summer as of late. Usually 4.8 is my best summer run.

But that BMW in 5years will be your worst nightmare of electrical issues and broken interior parts that are crazy money to replace, we get BMW's, MB's ect traded in all the time just out of warranty with tons of issues and very broken interiors from normal use. Not some but all.

I have noticed a major drop in 0-60 over the summer as well. Is this just temp related or difference in gas due to summer mix?

The hemi just loves cold air. Has nothing to do with gas mixture
