My buddy has Blizzaks for his VW GTI turbo snow tires and the car drives unreal in snow, and thats front wheel drive with alot of power for the size of that car, another buddy has the same Blizzaks for his rear wheel drive mercedes CLK and it drove better than my WK last winter with the crap tires I had on it. You need the right shoes for the job.
Very well said

When I lived in WA I had put Blizzak snow tires on my jetta vr6 and it drove better than a lot of 4x4's that had regular tires on

Re: how does the SRT do in the snow?

Yea, I soo want to move out west. Im sick and tired of New England winters where its 15 degrees and snows till March. Being so cold and dark out at 4:30pm does wonders on my mood, makes me want to hibernate all winter.

Re: how does the SRT do in the snow?

i go back and fourth from nyc to upstate kingston ny. the snow is terrible i must say. i almost traded in my 04 overland for a 2008 SRT8 but held back. im considering going back but besides the monthly payments* the only thing that concerns me most is snow traveling in an srt. if i can manage to get over that i can/will pull the trigger in a heart beat. at manhattan jeep dealer they offered me 12,000 trade in value for my 04 overland with 32,000 miles.

Re: how does the SRT do in the snow?

If you want an srt8 and that will be your daily driver/only vehicle then invest in a set of winter rims and snow tires. problem solved. And stay off the gas also.

Re: how does the SRT do in the snow?

elvis when you bought your jeep recently- where did you buy it? manahattan, long island, nj? also did you get any promotional offers to knock off chunks off the srt?
if you dont mind me asking how much was it out the door- im considering the 2010, they offered me something like 4500 off msrp.

Re: how does the SRT do in the snow?

im this close to a srt8 08 model. i almost bought a 2010 tonight, but backed out. im looking at a 08 model soon. i still cant beleive i was this** close to signing that line for the 2010 model. amazing the touch screen navi had my girl loved the POI options and stuff, i just love the new G force gauge in the middle of the cluster. amzing vehicle, i still have the option of the 2010 if i dont like the 08 theyre bringing in to show me. im trading in my 04 overland, theyre giving me 11000 for it.

Re: how does the SRT do in the snow?

^^ 11k for the 04, thats very good. Thats almost what I paid for my 05 WK, was 11,4. I'd go with the 08 and spend the saved money on mods for it. But then again, driving a brand new srt off the lot would be a very happy day.
