Then your warranty goes... and not many 'older' folks are going to be modding. But I see your point. And parts/mods are definitely cheaper for the Jeep.

When does anyone race in the street anyways

Read ma sig BITCH!

If I was spending $40k+ on a brand new vehicle, I'd want to get something newer... like 'the latest and greatest' so-to-speak. Buying a brand new vehicle in its last year of production... I don't know, I wouldn't want to. The body style is old news at that point, even if the car is new.

(not trying to hate, just tossing about my couple of pennies - I gotta keep shit in perspective ya know, LOL)
Your warranty wont be voided with a CMR and CAI. The CMR only has to be removed before trips to the dealer and Brad can show the old folks how to use the Diablo.

When does anyone race in the street? LOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOL

So what about buying the last model year in a old body style? You know if this was talking about buying a Benz or BMW in the last model year, you would be sucking the dick of those 2 brands saying buy it. We all know deep down you hate American vehicles and that the only reason you are driving a WK is because you got it cheap. We know Matt. We know.

P.S.- Your sig blows.

Dollar for dollar, I'd take the SRT8... but if this is for Brads mom, (respectfully) an 'older' person... then maybe a 'boy racer' SUV isn't the best SUV for her. The X5 is sure to be much more luxurious and may be a better fit for her.

Hey his father may want to drive that truck too. Why not have a little more go? Just because they are over 50, doesnt mean they cant mod. You are discriminating because of Age. (Cues ban stick)

Are you calling me dumb?

And again......

My sig speaks the truth!!!
CMR tune is not just for more HP. Driveability too. A good tuner will get rid of most of that throttle lag. The shifts will be more crisp and going back to the power subject, power will feel like its always there.

Your sig is still shit.

Dont take any advice other than how to do DIY projects from this man. This is the same guy who spent time making his own CAI and then got rid of it because it was too loud and because he wasnt building a race Jeep. God forbid he could have his Jeep breathe better. And this ****er is still on the stock exhaust.

Matt:

And go build an audio system.

Re: My Dad is looking @ an SRT8

HAHA great responses guys.

That is my parents one main issue: fit and finish! They have always had very nice cars...BUT both my Mom and Dad have been very impressed with my Jeep! My Dad wants something they can haul their new dog around in...and my Mom wants to be in an SUV. I think it would be awesome if my Mom had an SRT8 as her DD...that would be tight! I personally do not think the WK is an outdated look and am not really a fan of the new WK2 (except all of the cool features ie air-suspension)

The X5M and RR SC are out of the question as they are way too expensive for what they want out of it.

And trust me they will be "modding" as I will install an intake and tune within the first couple weeks, along with a trip to the muffler shop

Other 2010 SRT8 guys please post any/all info about your purchase...thanks!!!
