I have recently updated the production totals for the 1st generation Jeep SRT... prior to this I had only estimates for the 2007, 2009 and 2010 model years. Based on partial information and combined with some "averaging" I had come up with estimated totals for those three model years. It turns out some of the numbers were way off, especially for 2007, which was a surprise to see that it was, by far, the model year having the most built.

I was recently able to come across some very accurate production information which is reflected in the numbers shown below. I still have a little fine tuning to do so the numbers could slightly change, but not by more than a handful of vehicles here and there.

2006-2010 Grand Cherokee SRT8 Production Totals

2006: 3,257 (unchanged)
2007: 5,345 (+2,121)
2008: 3,163 (unchanged)
2009: 1,266 (+302)
2010: 1,890 (+781)

New Grand Total: 14,921 (+ 3,200)

wonder if the slight bumper changes in 2007 or better pricing got the ball rolling? probably pricing. I know the dealer i bought my laredo from in 2006 was asking $65k for their 2006's

Nice work! Oh the work you do for the Jeep community.

Still under 15k, that is pretty cool!

Do you have the updated color breakdowns?

Also, 2007 had a big year. I wonder if there was no "economic downturn" in 08, if sales totals would have stayed at that number.

also, do those numbers include just US models, or total units worldwide?

Thanks for the update Milous!

Is there a way to obtain how the increased #'s affected the different colors?

With the current color totals I own 1 of only 208 Modern Blue WK1 SRT8's produced, with the new #'s there should still be less than 300 Modern Blue total. Does this increase it's value?

No wonder I always have people commenting at the gas station (or is this because I am always at the gas station:D?)

Great information on the updates, but I must admit to being just a bit disappointed that the numbers grew by over 3,000 in total. Was hoping they would be a bit more exclusive.
