Re: Sorry im excited about this winter....

I would say there might be a reason whey they are that much cheaper. Maybe not factory reproductions brand or cheaper quality but you cant get most nice after market 17s for that cost let alone 20s.

I would do some research first. Also it will be a major pita to sand and paint your self and they will never look professional unless you are really good a paint and prep.

Re: Sorry im excited about this winter....

The "factory reps" ones ARE the same. Not the wierd sized 9.5 ones, but the standard sized 9in and 10in ones are the same

Doug from Factory Reps told me that other companies have come along and talked to their people, and stole their design and manugactures, and are selling the same wheel. Factory reps said they would price match.

However, stealing their design... Uhh they are reproductions..?

Re: Sorry im excited about this winter....

I did not even know that there was a 9.5" size.

I figured there had to be other companies that made reps, but stealing their design, i dont see how it could be stealing.

I would however, LOVE to see a 17 ot 18" SRT8 WK Rep made. I would be all over those.

there is no doubt i can do the job.(got plenty of handy skills) i just have doubts on the make of the wheel ill be sanding, prime&painting etc. ive done jobs like this on household mechanics and etc (sanding, priming, painting etc) just never on chrome wheels... hmmmm

id settle for a cheap black set but then again i dnt want to settle for "every ones got the black reps" so thats why i much rather prefer a comp grey set.

the search continues...

Yea, but for $1000 he can just buy the Competition Gray wheels already done. They are cols in comp gray but are about 800+ where as there is another seller with chrome and clack chrome reps for 500+.

I think either way you go there will be a sacrifice. Either you save a few hundred bucks and get the chrome wheels and spend time preping and painting or you spend a few hundred more and bolt them on and your ready to go. Whats worth it more to you a few hundred dollars and bolt on or saving a few hundred and working your butt off to get what you want. Sanding chrome will be a pita.

i have the 900 beans shipped for the purchase of the grey reps...

but

with the fact i can get black reps for 650 shipped or 700 shipped is making me hold off.

im thinking of buying the black reps and throwing a coat of flat black on em or making them dark graphite grey.

or just have black reps....

Grey for sure!

There's a guy around the corner from me with a black 2010 wrangler with grey/graphite wheels and that thing is badass! Made me think about getting grey wheels instead of black.
