I have no clue. All I know is that I get single digit MPG's (hand calculated).

My environmentalist friends almost pass out when I say that. Lolz

Re: srt8 mileage

My EVIC (confirmed by hand calcs) has been rock solid at 14.5 for the last couple months now. I'd say that's 70/30 hwy/city. Also consider there's a fair bit of idle time there letting the car warm up with remote start (cold here in WY). I found out that that DOES count against your mileage. It's because it calculates against what is in your tank. Thus, idling consumes fuel and causes your mileage to drop.

I hear you on the environmentalists. I used to say I have a carbon footprint like Sasquatch. I'm a boiler engineer at a coal-fired power plant and up until November, my SRT8 was the MORE fuel-economical vehicle of the two I owned. The other one is a 1978 Ford F250 with a rebuilt 400M putting 496hp out at the flywheel. It gets between 8-10 mpg.

I have since acquired a new vehicle, a 1998 Jeep Grand Cherokee 5.9 Limited. It now reigns supreme as my most economical car, netting me an astonishing 17 mpg hwy! Kinda sad when you own 3 vehicles and not a single one of them gets 20 mpg. Hell, all 3 combined don't even get 45 mpg highway! I AM AL GORE'S WORST NIGHTMARE!!!

Re: srt8 mileage

06 SRT8 averages 14.5 to 15.5 mpg, been fairly even for all 53k miles.

It dropped to 12.5 mpg at one point, followed shortly by a CEL and o2 sensor replacement!

My daily drive is 43 miles each way, mixed city/freeway.

Re: srt8 mileage

Oh hell, I've seen the EVIC drop to 2.6 MPGs just idling for 20 mins (waiting for kids at school one day) so it's calculating something short term.

Re: srt8 mileage

I average 12.5 to around 14. Had it over 15 on a long drive, but that was at night with no one to play with.
