Waiting for this day to come. In around 2 weeks or so, I will be a owner of a 2010 Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT8. Fully loaded to the max, option group 1 &2, HIDs, moonroof, Nav, etc. Guys I am so excited, I do not know what to do. :D

I will be missing my 2007 Jeep Grand Cherokee Overland though. It has done me well, I had lots of fun in it, broke Mario's 1/4 mile record. Even though all the trouble I had with it, I still love it and I will miss it. :(

I really do not know what to say other than I am super happy to be apart of this elite group.

I can't wait to hit up the 1/4 mile with this badass machine!

Thanks for reading!

That is true. LOL

just think Joe, one more day closer to the SRT!! Tomorrow morning, you'll be in single digit days away!!!
Actually, I am going to pick it up on the 28th!!!! :D :)

Did they hit you with any fees for returning your jeep you have now?
Very little.

How about project 'FREE RIDE' lol....
See below.

meh, let it go Bubba.

Would you turn down a vehicle because someone else picked up the tab, no. So why give someone else shit for it. Hypocrisy. Joe's worked hard, his parents want to reward him, I see no reason to give him a hard time.
Thanks for the back up.

Back when I bought the limited, I was so tempted to convince my wife harder for an SRT8. Damn, I know I would of had it if Jeep/Chrysler gave 0 percent financing on it.

Few things turn me off on it though.

1) I heard the ride is not as nice
2) The tires cannot be rotated and are very expensive to replace
3) I drive in NJ and with traffic for what it is, kind of kills the point of a 420hp engine. * Though, I only live about 5-10 min from Atco raceway.
4) It would of cost 6-7k more
5) Never driven one, I would probably forget the above 4 if I test driven one.

I am jealous, but happy for you. After you posted this I called my dealer, but no way I can get out of this ahead without losing both of mine ;)

My question is, can you feel a big difference between a diablo canned tuned 5.7 and a 6.1? I really would love to test drive one someday.
Come to the track and take a test drive!

Join the crowd..
Dude, you are able to get one right now. :)

Argent is also French for silver! lol
That's because French is part of the romance language as well Italian, Spanish, Portuguese and a few others.
So you're saying silver is romantic...

:D
Silver is the best! :D

I had an 07 Limited before the SRT8 and I'd say this:
1) it's a different ride more like a sports car than an SUV, definitely feel it on speed bumps if you go too fast.
2) They can not be rotated from front to back but can be from side to side. Replacement GYs are expensive yet there are a few better options that are NOT (Nittos 420Rs = $160 front, $195 rear for example)
3) I'm on LI and even with traffic, just think of those moments where there isn't bumper-to-bumper traffic or a good opening that you can punch through. Then 420HP is just what you wanted :D
4) yeah, you have to pay for the extras.
5) without a doubt. There's a difference in performance and the interior is WAY better IMO.

I'm sure Joe will let take you for a ride or next time I'm at ATCO, you're more than welcomed to come down and check it out. Even a quickie test drive.

Just b/c I can doesn't mean I will.. you're right though. My WK could be gone tomorrow for a shinny 08 but I'm already in a committed relationship and chances are that she'll become a stalker.. I don't want that.

I am married with a 6 month old. My chances are slimmer than yours :) Trust me, if I could I would go to the dealer and trade up. Btw, I called them again....must not go to dealership!

Here is how it would play out:

"me: Honey... wife: yes... (the usually what did you do?) me: went to dealership today... wife: yes?... me: they made me buy it! wife: Buy what!? me: opens door. wife: wtf  I hope you enjoy sleeping in it!"
