Re: Whos gonna be the first to drop an EPIC build at JG?

We have a customer that is having the same dilemma on what he wants to build to run 10's. We have offered him a Single Turbo, Twin-Turbo, Supercharger or NA. He is leaning towards an NA.

OMG! Would like to know the inside scoop but I understand if you would like to keep things amicable. I hope you finally get one of your Jeeps running the way you want with all the money and time you have spent not driving them.

But before that I would like to know what the best time is for a NA 6.1, I read before its an 11.92 or so by Mike Leavy and then thought there was an 11.8X also. I would like to try go after that.

Whatever the route is it will be mentioned on the "blue site" before any "red shite...oops site"

My wife ran an 11.88 last spring with no rear seat, 2 gallons of gas, some polypropelene added to the fuel and a Meth/Nitro mix in the meth injector, and dry icing the intake etc... . Along with deep staging and -1000 DA. She weighs ~ 115, I never broke out of the 12s that night myself. I was going to go to 41 last Saturday, but rain and wrecking the Jeep curtailed the festivities for the new setup. I'm hoping to get the 11.80s with me driving and not resorting to removing parts. I may gut it and let her drive again to see what we can get out of the 392 as well, see how I feel

Re: Whos gonna be the first to drop an EPIC build at JG?

If the aluminum block were available two months ago I would have built a 394 Cu In with the 4.185 bore and the stock 3.58 stroke, I know my old 360 with the same stroke could rev to 7000 + RPM, and I'm sure the Hemi would sound sweet wound up tight.

Re: Whos gonna be the first to drop an EPIC build at JG?

I just spoke to Arrington today for about 2 hours. I really wanted to get a little more power out of my Jeep so the only way is for my to get this :http://www.shophemi.com/c-456-57-hem...2-stroker.aspx

I am really into this. I'm thinking about getting it done in January of 2011.

Honestly I think you would be better off buying a bare 6.1 block and building it as a 392 instead with a shorter stroke and better bottom end geometry. If you know someone at a dealership you can the the block cheap, mine cost me 800.00. The 391 blocks are actually finish honed/bored with a torque plate from the factory, and machined VERY nicely. All you need to do is order standard bore pistons, and it saves you the cost of machining. Another plus is you can build it while still driving your Jeep.

Let's see first. I have until January. Lol. That sounds like a good idea from what you said. I will think about it.
