I was thinking of your numbers when i mention i expected him to run better numbers , as you pulled same numbers with just boltons or 5.9 reacts better to mods . What if you turbocharge your 5.9 ?

Re: NEW 1/4 mile record, but no 12 just yet!

I would say that torque management is killing us right now. We make tons of HP/TQ but the PCM/TCM just will not let us put it to full use.

In mine you feel the engine and turbo put you back in your seat and then you can feel the TM back it off...then once you hit 45 (when TM goes away) be prepared, It's like your launching from a dig all over again!

TM kills us bad!

Well, I am not sure at this point if a TCM alone will cure the problem or make things worse (in my case).

In looking over the log file for the run against the R/T Charger, I see something very interesting.

Everything looks fine right up to the 2/3 shift point. Right at the shift, I see where my TPS voltage was cut nearly in half for almost 4/10's of a second through the shift. When you go into 3rd, you are hitting a 1/1 gear ratio, and I think I reached the point where the vehicle is sensing tranny slip from too much torque and pulling back on the throttle. After the TPS voltage came back, the injector pulse from the ECU was very eratic for the next 1/2 second or so as well.

There were no codes, no misfires, just a drop in power where I see the TPS voltage drop.

If I am at the limit of the tranny, then deleting torque management would simply let the tranny slip unless somehow a reflashed TCM can raise line pressures to hold more torque.

My previous tune file was running about 7.3 to 7.5 psi, and on that run I pushed it up to 8.3 - 8.5 psi which apprently it did not like.
