'14 or '15 SRT - thoughts on upgraded audio?

I'm looking at used '14 and '15 SRT's (sub 15K miles) and wanted to see if anyone has any direct experience w/ the "base" audio system versus the 19 speaker Harman Kardon set?

Would love to hear if anyone can compare/contrast these two systems.

Separately, if anyone has done any "after market" audio system work (and, if so, did you forego the Harman Kardon upgrade and apply those $$ toward an aftermarket solution)?

Thanks so much.

I think the HK system sounds pretty good for an OEM system. I haven't heard the base system but have heard from others that it is pretty lacking.
As for aftermarket, you would need something to sum the channels to get a full range signal since swapping headunits is a no-go, but can be done.

Too many mods to list for each, so let's just say a lot was done over the years.

Thanks so much. Ideally I'd be able to compare/contrast w/ two at the local dealer, but Austin doesn't have many SRT's (used or new).

I have been impressed with the 19 speaker HK system...for stock...since normally that would be one of my first upgrades and right now it is not on my list!

Re: '14 or '15 SRT - thoughts on upgraded audio?

The 2014 SRT I'm buying Friday has the base system. It really blows.
I usually do performance mods on vehicles first thing. But this is an SRT so it's definitely fast enough for a loooong time. The audio system will probably be my first major upgrade.
My 2011 F150 with the factory Sony system and sub outperforms the SRT by a large margin.
I'm sorry I can't compare the HK

Thanks so much. Ended up going w/ the 19-speaker system and will keep folks posted when it arrives (coming in from the East Coast in a couple of weeks)...
