I just purchased this vehicle two weeks ago and while driving home virtually all the dash lights went on...the tac and speedometer pointers both flew and pinned themselves to the right of the guage...I pulled over when it was safe to do so...turned the vehicle off and when restarted, the check engine light was lit ..after about a day...the light turned off.
A couple of days later, I had the vehicle parked in front of my home...went to start....all the dash lights again were on...it asked me to depress the clutch pedal...the vehicle has no clutch...after several attempts to restart or somehome reset the Jeep, it started...I quickly drove it on to my driveway...turned it off.
Again, I tried to restart...again all the lights were on on the dash and this time it told me that the vehicle was not in park...the vehicle WAS in park...after several attempts, the vehicle started and the check engine light was on again.
I took the Jeep back to the selling dealer...they told me after having it several days, the mechanic that was working on it, took it home...had some kind of test equiptment on it that sourced some 30+ errors that the dealer acknowledged and said they reset or reprogrammed the computer...said on day two, they had no problems or any of the stated issues occur...went to pick my new Jeep up today and as they were getting the vehicle...the dash lights on...depress clutch warning ...and check engine light on again...
I am very pissed off already and believe, either the dealer is inept or maybe the electronic control module already needs to be replaced??
Any suggestions/ or the same or similar reported problems?....I've spent a lot of money purchasing this vehicle and have had limited use...is there a phone number that I should cal to a National Chrysler Hotiline for issues such as these?
Thanks for any help...
