2016 Compass, High Altitude

i'm not even sure if my new vehicle qualifies as a jeep. don't see too many posts about compasses. and after having mine for a week, i see why. this 2.4 vvt motor is absolutely the worst engine i have ever had in a vehicle. (and i'm 62 years old). couldn't pull a lard ass off a shit pot. and this tranny! 6 speed auto, with manual option. wackiest shifting you could ever imagine. i'm still wondering how i missed these 2 things while test driving, but, i did have a death in the family while doing so. i guess my mind was elsewhere. hope any other owners have better luck. maybe share a story if you get time. thanks for reading!

That's a shame you're disappointed with the Jeep! I don't know anything much being fairly new to Jeeps myself, I must admit i'm quite shocked as you don't hear many negative comments at all, well I haven't anyway! I don't know how heavy the Compass is but I should think it's probably quite a high revving engine to pull it along, anyway, welcome aboard and hope you get along with it ok or good luck for whatever you decide to do.

Re: 2016 Compass, High Altitude

Thanks UKJeeper. I.don't hate my Jeep, but I'm kinda disappointed with it. I just didn't realize it had no power what so ever. I never got on a highway while test driving. My wife's 2015 Outlander with a 2.4 engine blew me away on a trip we both drove. I was pretty embarrassed. Lol. And my Jeep is supposed to have 4 more hp than her car. ???
