Just getting some sun...

Nice lens flare!

I know, I know...really need to clean around the badges a little more thoroughly. But I do love that pearl coat.

Re: A long hello and history

BTW if you get the LED tails get the LED bright white license plate bulbs from V-LED. It'll set it off nice in the back!!! Also if you don't have already you may want to consider HID's. It was my fav mod!!! Totally changed driving at night. 2000x better than stock IMO.

Actually, I'd really like to do an HID upgrade, too. The write ups I've seen look pretty straight forward but I'm a little worried about messing something up. I'm not sure precisely what to buy either. I've seen replacement projector lenses on ebay and other various sites that also come with HID lamps but I dunno if I like the look of them (hard to tell when it is just a lens in a picture). Also, I'm not sure about the legal issues in CA for an HID upgrade.

What product did you go with?

Well there's 2 vendors here that sell HID kits. If you lived near me I'd install them for ya at nocharge. Well maybe a beer or 2. LOL but they are

Baja HID's (Tony) screen name TCM GLX

and

Xenon Depot

Both are in the vendor section. IMO Baja is great if you're on a budget or not looking to spend a lot of $. I have Baja kit for lows and fogs. They work great and they're guarenteed for lifetime. took about 2 hours to install both lows and fogs.

Xenon depot has 2 kits. they're a little more expensive than Baja but have a filter that keep it from interfearing with the FM radio. I would say most guys here go with 6k or 5k. Factory OEM color is about 4300k whick is the brightest but may have a tint of yellow at some angles. Most people try to stay close to that bright white look so they go with the 5k-6k For the bad weather seasons some people along with myself swap the fog bulbs to 3k which is the yellow cause the light perceived on the ground is better with 3k rather than 5k or 6k. Here's a color chart that you can kinda get an idea of the color temps.

Also we have a few members here from cali that have the Xenon HID kits. 08hemi is one of them. I don't think it's much of a problem with local laws in the US.
