Advice please! WK2 bumpers

Hey everyone, new to the site. I have a 2012 jeep grand cherokee, that my wife as recently drove into a tree. Its all body damage and a bent bumper. so I figure now is the time to put on a winch bumper and lift. As far as the winch bumper goes all i have been able to find are the ones by RRO and ARB. Are there anymore out there? I prefer the style of the ARB bumper. And for the lift i was looking to do 2"-2.5", but again all i found was RRO.
Anyone have some first hand knowledge with any of the above?

thanks

RRO isn't your only option; Old Man Emu has multiple spring rates available and Eibach has a lift kit also. They are all in the 2" to 2.5" range.

As far as winch bumpers, your choices include ARB, Uneek 4x4 or RRO - the first 2 being Australian companies.

Another option on suspension is Dobinson Springs, or Murchison 4x4 products.

Re: Advice please! WK2 bumpers

My wife just got a leftover 2014 Overland. I put 240 lbs of armor on it as we share it in the CA - AZ desert in the winter. I put factory skid plates on - perfect pieces - and to your issue ,a CURT front receiver, and ROCKY ROAD super sliders.

The ROCKY ROAD OUTFITERS pieces arrived on the east coast from Utah without a scratch and fit perfectly - very nice work. They make some trick winch mounts for WK2, and deal in lift kits etc., check them out - they do top quality work.

The CURT front receiver came from trends-auto on E-Bay like normal, starting to work it's way out of the box. It was $181.90 free shipping with a nice little skid shield to mount in the receiver. It goes on well, although I made it challenging by keeping my factory tow hooks which they say you can not do. If you have a grinder and a lot of patience it works out perfectly, just a big pain in the butt - I do not blame them for saying it can not be done. The front receiver - good for a hitch mount winch - is the cheapest armor you will find.

Good luck, Philip

Hi Philip,
I need to get front hitch mount on my 2014 WK2 with factory installed hooks. Sounds like you had a good experience installing one and keeping the hooks. Do you have any pics, or can you explain why you need a grinder?
Thanks.
