Re: Centrl NY Commander

We pull a 26 ft Aerolite travel trailer that weighs 4700 lbs with a Grand Cherokee Hemi 4Wd. We use and recommend a Hensley Arrow hitch for safety, also the TruControl brake controller as sold by Hensley. Our 05 GC towed this trailer to Colorado, North Carolina and to the Washington DC area. Our 10 GC has towed this trailer into the New Mexico mountains. The Hemi engine and 4 wd, low range and locking differentials make a fine towing vehicle. To my knowledge, if the vehicle is equipped with the class IV hitch, the extra transmission cooling is included. I tow using Tow/Haul mode with limited use of the speed control. I also shift down on steep or long hills to keep the rpms up and avoid lugging the engine.

Re: Centrl NY Commander

beautiful Commander and Airstream you have there...IDK about the seats as I do not own a Commander, sorry! If the seats are like the WK's, then you would need to buy 2 front seats and custom-mount them to the floor. The WK 60/40 bench does not aappear to be able to be modified to open up the middle. Or find seats that match the mounting locations and re-cover with Jeep leather to match. That would be a great mod...let us know what you find out!
