Differentials

Hello, I have a 2006 TJ and I want to buy some differential lockers but I haven't been able to find either the Dana nor ratios for either axle. Can you tell me where I can find this info?

Sorry read your post wrong... you should have 3:73in now.

3:07 for 6 - autos
4:10 for 4 cyl.

What are you planning to go with? Tire size, etc.

If you cant find the tag. The only way to be sure of the size is to remove the cover. It is stamped on the ring gear.

Re: Differentials

4:10's will work and keep your downshifting on hills to a minimum but I would consider 4:56. to be on the safe side ,plus it will give you a great crawl speed. I had 4:88 in my Lj but It was a auto with overdrive so I could get away with it ,lol

Re: Differentials

you should have a 30 in front and , unless its a unlimited or rubi , you should have a 35c in the back .

I would definitely go with a select-able locker up front , if you choose to do on in the rear then I would go with alloy shafts. I wheeled my Yj with a trac-loc in the back , No problem but if you are doing Rocks . then do the upgrade . you will not be sorry.
