Re: Engine noise

Usually that is caused by leaky hydraulic lifters, that bleed down overnight.

The quality of oil (and type) can help that with worn engines.
But for a new engine it should be quiet with any oil that meets spec.

I've had it after a very hard drive followed by a very cold overnight.
Seems to have gone away after a bit of [allegedly forbidden] STP Oil Treatment applied.

Hi hemisummit2016,

Has your dealership addressed this at all, since it has been happening since you purchased the vehicle?

Re: Engine noise

Have the dealer check it out. A low quality oil filter could cause that too. If the dealer is not servicing it make sure whoever is uses a good filter such as Wix and the correct oil.
