From Rambler back to Jeep Eagle
Just posting here so I can be a part of the site for real. My first car was a Rambler 770 Classic, from there to Gremlin and just this week my brand new 1981 Eagle all wheel drive with the 258 six. Of course, it started right away Friday, then when I came back to take possession the next day it stalled at the corner driving away. Being bullet proof, I am hoping a new starter motor and some HEET to get the water out of the gas after sitting a year in Minnesota freezing should do it?
Anybody have suggestions what else to bring in order to actually bring my baby home next trip? I am 300 miles away and a fourth trip will really be a pain in the rear. How hard is it to open the carb to really make sure it is clean if needed? I never did that to my Gremlin and my Rambler had a Holly four barrel carb on it.
Cheers to all!
