I owned a 2012 Tuxedo Black Ford Raptor fully loaded but would only use it to tow the boat. Well, only used the boat a couple times and year and after one year I only had 3500 miles on her. I was so anal I wouldn't drive it in the rain or off road (I know, you don't take the Raptor off road).
Well, we sold our 22 ft Regal boat and I was looking at the Raptor just sitting in the garage thinking to myself, I need to find something I'm not afraid to drive in the rain or to work.
So, I traded the Raptor in on a 2014 loaded GC Summit and actually got almost exactly what I paid for her and purchased the our new Jeep $3,000 back of invoice. I questioned one new salesperson why so much off the price and he said they wanted my Raptor really bad and would do anything to get it.
Come to find out they already had it sold before I traded it in. One of the owners friends wanted my Raptor since it was better than new, I mean literally perfect, 10 out of 10 new.
Well, we really like everything about our new GC Summit except we are experiencing some frustrating issues with it. Getting the entire NAV system radio replaced tomorrow and having some othere issues looked at. Sure hope things get resolved soon, hate wasting my time going back and forth to the dealer to get things fixed.
