Re: Headlamp Help!

Halogen or HID bi xenon?

Edit: if you're not sure you can put your vin in here and pull up the build sheet for your rig.

Re: Headlamp Help!

Try by resetting first. Pull the negative off the battery under the passenger seat for about 15 minutes. Step on the brake pedal a couple times. That will reset the system. Then give it a try.

Question- were u messing with any of the lights or bulbs when this happened?

Re: Headlamp Help!

Is this a wk2 with hid or halogen bulbs? Pretty sure all 2014s don't have a.high and low bulb. Meaning...it's one bulb..but when you flick in the high beam..a shield moves allowing the full beam to be shown.

Re: Headlamp Help!

I looked up the package by VIN number and it said I have Halogen Headlamps and Halogen Quad Headlamps?

Re: Headlamp Help!

According to info on XenonDepot, your halogen headlamps do have separate bulbs for the low beams. Recommend changing your bulbs before you go further as the bulbs are far more likely to go bad before any thing else. Low beams are H11, high beams are 9005.

Re: Headlamp Help!

I pulled the low beam bulb but the filament seems totally intact? Could it still be bad?

Re: Headlamp Help!

Have you checked the headlight fluid reservoir?

Sorry, couldn't help myself. If you can see the filament isn't broken then the bulb is probably fine, but you should check for voltage at the plus while is all apart. If you don't have any juice at the plug I guess I'd follow the wire upstream until I found power. I cheap Harbor Freight voltmeter will do the job.
