Re: Hello Everyone--new member

Hey guys! Thanks for all the welcomes!! Sorry i havent replied sooner, took my a while to get back to this thread! I used to live downtown Dallas, but just moved to Las Colinas last week.

Short version on the 6.4 is i hydrolocked my engine 3 months after owning the thing. Snapped a connecting rod. Was going to have the dealer swap it but found a Viper shop out in Bridgeport TX (http://www.racingsolutions.com/merchant/index.html) that said they could turn it into a 392 stroker. Its been quite a while in the making but they are expecting it to be done by Dec 4th, or next Friday. I was told they are having a friend from a dodge dealership come out over this weekend to help them re-install it all, so i guess there's a slim chance it could be sooner.

They are also installing a K&N intake, SRT8 exhaust with a magnaflow muffler. Im not sure of the cam specs but they are porting and polishing the stock heads. The compression has been increased up to 10.5:1 (i think the SRT8 6.1L is 10.3:1?) So i'll be running premium from now on All forged internals, 60lb injectors, should be a lot of fun. I've been waiting several months on this so im really excited to be within a week of delivery assuming i didnt just jinx it

Here are some pics:

Re: Hello Everyone--new member

Only mods i had before this happened were HID's, 2" Daystar, and BFG MT's. Once i get it back i have a CB, Spidertrax 1.5" Spacers, and a hitch mount spare tire swing to install

The spare tire swing is a copy of the swing-gate brand. Bought it off craigslist out in Austin. It has been sanded and repainted since i took the pics

Re: Hello Everyone--new member

I wish the Supra was mine! This shop works mostly on Twin Turbo'ing vipers and Supras. They also have a GTR that runs 10's in the 1/4mile. Lots of cool cars there

Last time I was there the back half of that Ferarri had been removed

Re: Hello Everyone--new member

Just talked to the shop! Jeep is on the lift and they are working on the exhaust. Engine is in! Dont think they've started it yet but man im excited! I've been without my daily driver since July 29th and it's only days away

I asked about the dyno and tune and they said i'll have to properly break the engine in before they dyno and final tune it. Can't wait to get those #'s. Really hoping to break 400rwhp

Re: Hello Everyone--new member

Thanks! I ordered a oil catch can last night and plan to install it right away. They are putting on a new intake manifold and hopefully at least cleaned the TB, so i dont want any sludge getting into my nice new clean engine!
