Hello from Maine!
I picked up a 2014 Grand Cherokee Limited back in September '14 with 6 miles on it. It has the diesel and Luxury 2 package in a nice Black Forest Green metallic and black interior.
I have added the full skid plate package and roof racks from MOPAR as well as the cord for the block heater.
I have loved this Jeep (my first) and have had no problems with it, until yesterday.
I have read all the horror stories about the engine and gremlins. I have been luck so far with that. I commute almost daily on the turnpike 70 miles/day.
I did receive the "Vehicle phone requires service" message.
I registered with UConnect the day after I bought the Jeep and have had no problems using any of those apps.
Now, my navigation says I am in Texas (I am in Maine), and my UConnect app will not connect. I also have gotten the little red light on the rearview mirror between the Assist and 9 1 1 buttons.
I read on a post on how to get to the engineering controls and read about "resetting to factory standards" and did that. That only made things worse. Now I have no heated/cooled seats, no heated steering wheel. My stereo is weak (MP3 player on volume 15 was loud, now, even cranked to above 30...is not nearly as loud or clear) ( I have the updated sound system with 9 speakers/500w). The display read SRT when I started it up.
Any ideas or thoughts? If I go to the dealership, how should I address it? When I have been there before, the service manager is the type that it is never the dealer's or Jeep's issue....
