Hello-Grand Cherokee Stalling

Hello everyone. I have a 2005 Grand Cherokee Full Time 4WD with 3.7 L Engine purchased used with 116k miles. After starting the engine in driveway, parking lot, wherever, the it loses power but continues running. Tapping the gas does not help. I either put it in neutral or park and just wait it out. This problem does not happen while running but only just after starting. The fuel system has been serviced, EGR valve replaced, and a tune up has been completed. The dealer performed the ignition recall and the problem continues. A second dealer ran a diagnostic check and could not find any problems. The check engine light does not indicate and problems. If anyone has experienced or knows of someone that has experienced this problem, please advise. Thanks.

Sounds like a fuel pressure issue upon start up. Seems like it's not building fuel pressure for a few mins and then it's fine. I'd look into the fuel pressure regulator or fuel pump. The pressure regulator first tho.

And welcome to the garage! Glad to see another 3.7 owner here

Re: Hello-Grand Cherokee Stalling

Does it allways loose power after starting, cold and hot? Will it idle low? Was the IAC (idle air control) stepper motor plunjer and air canal cleaned?
