Hello! Replacing 2006 Explorer EB V8 RWD
Hello all! It is nice to see the pricing information here. Do you know why the Overland is $9,000 more than the Limited?
My 2006 Ford Explorer Eddie Bauer V8 RWD went over 148,000 miles today, so it is time to replace it. It was inexpensive ($29,423 out the door, then I installed a $2,500 Pioneer navigation/XM/camera/sound system) and has been the most reliable vehicle I've ever owned (I drive much more than average and am 55, so I've owned a variety of vehicles, but not yet any Chrysler products). The new front wheel drive Explorer is of no interest to me.
I use the Exploer for work, and like that my 17' Little Giant fits cross-wise in the back (no 3rd row, and no fancy factory sound, so no boxed-in cargo compartment sides). It fitting somehow witht eh 2nd row all up is a must, so I'll need to go see the 2014 versions to measure. I also carry a variety of test equipment and so forth. For fun, I collect and restore old radios, mainly from the 1930s.
