Unhappy help with brakes

I need some help, well actually my husband does. He is trying to bleed the brakes and yes we have tried the pump and hold method with no avail. So while he is working hard at it I am here searching the internet for answers to the problem, well i find that the ABS maybe the issue so now my question i guess is how do you bleed the ABS. I guess I should say that doing to old method the fluid was not coming out at all.
