Hi Fellow Jeep Owners!
Hello to everyone!
This is my first post here...and I hope to be able to use this forum as a useful tool and to help anyone else that I can as I gain more experience as a Jeep Owner.
I recently purchased a slightly used 2014 4x4 Jeep Grand Cherokee Overland with Hemi V8! It was a dealership demo that was driven by the Owner's son-in-law for a year.
They are in the process of certifying the Jeep...putting on some new tires for me...and doing some other punch type stuff to make it more like new. The guy that had it didn't really baby it very much...so there are some slight cosmetic issues. But it drives GREAT! I live about an hour from the dealership...and got to have an extended test drive for a couple of days. I own a 1999 Dodge Ram Pickup....and we have had other Dodge vehicles over the years...but this is my first Jeep! My job requires alot of driving...so I will be spending lots of time in the Jeep. I am hoping it holds up as good as my 2005 Honda Pilot that I currently drive that has 240,000 miles...and still basically runs like the day I purchased it. But I will say that the Jeep is way more fun to drive. And it feels good to move from a decently powered V6 back to a nice strong V8! And the 8-speed transmission in the 2014 is really sweet. I drove some 2012 and 2013 Jeeps...one of them was a loaded Summit...but I had driven a 2014 with the V6 and a 2015 with the Hemi beforehand...and I gotta say that the new 8-speed does make a difference in how it drives and feels. I will post some photos and more details about my new Jeep once I finally get it home next Tuesday!
