Talking Hi from ENGLAND............

Hi all my names Karl, i've just bought a Grand Cherokee 2005 CRD Limited,
Loving the leather and toys and the performance isn't too bad either.....I bought the Cherokee mainly for its towing ability as i have a Caravan weighing in at 1540kg or just over 3000lbs, just need to get the towbar fitted now with the new euro 13 pin electrics........
How do you find yors for towing......? And are there many issues to look out for on these, i,ve been told the back diffs can whine but its nothing to much worry about unless its excessive......anything else you can fill me in on.....????

Re: Hi from ENGLAND............

I love towing my boat it probably weighs 2500 lbs..

Zero problems, I have to check the mirrors to see if it's still attached. With the CRD I've read that when towing people still manage to average around 17-18 mpg .. the conversion to liters is up to you

Re: Hi from ENGLAND............

Welcome. I wish I could help with the towing questions but my WK will prob never see a hitch on the ass end of it. Lol. You might want to look into upgrading the rear suspension if you are going to tow alot, maybe Bilstein shocks or air bags. Im sure you can tell after a few times of towing if its needed though.

Re: Hi from ENGLAND............

G'day Karl, welcome from Australia mate

I tow with mine, you'll find its ok standard, but is MUCH improved with the stiffer aftermarket Bilstein shocks. The factory shocks are far too soft and get wallowy over undulations.
