I've made a little progress today and ordered 4 new General Grabber UHP tyres for tomorrow, boot and bonnet(hood) struts as they're all weak, got a couple of metres of 3"318 stainless exhaust pipe, some 90 bends and found a silencer(muffler) in the workshop, not sure it's going to be big enough to keep the exhaust note reasonable so may need to add another or get a more substantial one, especially if I remove some cats
I did a service on it and it was VERY low on oil, didn't even register on the dipstick and the amount drained only seemed to be around the 3 litre mark
What kind of previous owner lets that happen?
Decided to de-badge as it's all very cluttered and they're not all in great condition anyway.
I've got some window tinting film on order as I fancy giving it a try myself rather than going the easy route of handing it over to the guys I've used in the past, if it all goes wrong it's only time and very little money lost.
I went to see my bodyshop guy about the tailgate rust patch and alloy refurb and got sidetracked with other things so know it's going to be sorted in the New Year but have no idea on how much it's going to cost
The axle rebuild and fuel pump will probably wait until after Christmas now as I'm away from Friday and doubt I'd be able to get and fit the parts in time and have it ready.
I did my first re-fuel today after filling it on Friday, 190 miles cost £64 odd so seriously considering converting it to lpg...
