I'm here to chew bubble gum and kick azz....

And I'm all out of bubble gym.

Name's Ryan, some of you might recognize me, most of you will not. I have been around the Jeep scene for a while. I have a 2002 4.7 Limited. Under a different name , I run the Speed Freaks section of JeepsUnlimited, and for a short period of time thespeedfreaks.net.

I will leave the details about my Jeep for another thread, but I just wanted to make an introduction.

I also run a small side business doing hand-porting parts. Specifically, throttle bodies, some intake manifolds, motorcycle/dirtbike/ATV carbs, etc etc...I will likely seek some sort of vendor status on here. I have done a few 4.7 TBs (sorry, no pics), and so far the feedback has been positive.

Anyways, it's nice to be here, I look forward to helping some of you go fast, and meeting some like-minded friends.

Joe!!! Whats up buddy. Truth be told, I've been so busy with ...the biggest thing getting in the way is I've run into complications with my Jeep. First my tuning was causing issues... once we got that under control, other problems reared their ugly heads....I got nailed for a PS pump assembly, blower motor controller (harness melted= no heat/AC/defrost), and a radiator in 2 weeks time! And just yesterday I sheared an exhaust hanger. Really isn't my month here. I'm in Florida now, back in Daytona Beach....I need to just take a step back, breathe, get this thing back to where it needs to be, and then when I'm good and ready, I'm gonna tear up the track (even if i settle for Orlando Speedworld). And from there, if things go the way I'd like them to, I have a much bigger plan.....

Hi Scott. I've heard about your Jeep. Don't know the specifics....But I'm going to venture that you have some sort of Ross piston/Scat rod combo , maybe a set of KRC cams too. Too bad that '08 manifold was a no-go.

I'm consulting on a '04 4.7 build currently, it's just getting underway, and while it's not anything too groundbreaking, I am looking forward to seeing how it does.

For my next trick, watch me pull a rabbit out of my hat...

Been there done that with KRC camshafts. Had their X grind, sold them off. Read up on a little cam theory and you'll see that the regrinds are nothing to write home about. Their magnum cams are winners- I've selected them for 2 different 5.2/5.9 builds and they really screamed- but their 4.7 cams suffer from gutless low end and lazy ramps. Just my .02 cents, I'm sure the Ross pistons will make up for any shortcomings the older 4.7 grinds have. Your results may vary.
