Been looking around on the site and decided to stay. Anyway, my extent of jeep ownership has consisted of one WJ for a couple years which in reality was my wife's. I have always somewhat regretted selling it and now have decided to go all in as my next jeep will be my DD. Last wknd I sold my ccsb duramax so I could order a new limited ecodiesel. I have a couple questions that i can't seem to find answers for.
1. I read somewhere a member ordered a limited with a diesel without the lux II package. How? I want to know what trickery had to be done before I order this week. I have no use for anything in that package.
2. Tires. (Going with 18's and could give a flying rip about how pimp the 20's look.) My plan is to swap out the stock tires day one for a set of Nokian's. My actual question is which ones, WR G3 or Rotiva AT? I read the thread on the rotivas which I liked but haven't been able to find a real comparo between the two. I've ran BFG AT's for years on my trucks but feel they may be bit noisy on a much quieter and more refined GC. This vehicle is not going to be subjected to the bush but I'm not afraid to get it dirty either. Honestly, i think the majority of the time the wr g3 will get the job done but have reservations in deep snow/mud. I have no doubt the rotiva would make light work of it but at what cost on ice and hardpack? I need more feedback.
