Or even better yet.....
Wanna plug tug of war!!!! .. i'll take my chances with the 2WD.

Re: Just another GC CRD guy

actually doing some math with the 1/4 mile calculators....

I might be able to get into the 14's... Traction will be a big problem... Right now it just boils down 1st gear and chirps 2nd HARD.

Re: Just another GC CRD guy

I think you'd be able to get SRT rims without a loss in fuel mileage, it would also allow you to run a wider tire so it'd be nothin but grip lol.

The SRT8 wheels are heavier and the Tires needed are MUCH heavier...especialy if i went runflat.

I agree 20's look nice. but i love the fact my CRD is averaging 24.5-25 mpg in Mixed driving...

Best mpg to date after the tune was 28.6 mpg....

I did find some 18's from centerline and with the right tires there would be a 1 lbs loss per wheels/tire. I know it sounds crazy but i have first had experience with heavier wheels/tires and i hated everything about em.. they Only looked good and honesly.. i can't see the wheels when i'm driving so who am i going to impress....

My mustang has 3 sets of wheels.. stockers 16",Some 17's i got a smoking deal on(150.00 for 4 NOS OEM Cobras), and then some Drag only wheels (bigs and littles)... they all have a purpose. its the only reason i got em...

Besides i want my jeep to look and sound stock yet blow the doors off a hemi

really, I looked at center line and couldn't find any with the jeeps bolt pattern that looked good? can you post a pic of these wheels, cuz I was thinking about light weight 18s on my jeep.

From what I know and I weighed both....the OEM SRT 20's are lighter than the 17" wheels. The replicas I believe only weigh 4-6 pounds more than the OEM SRT's

Re: Just another GC CRD guy

Jeep looks great!! I like that color!!

I do agree....the SRT8 wheel...20x9 anyways...weigh about 34ish lbs...but the tire you add onto it more than doubles that weight...I had some Moduflex 17's on my WJ, with Toyo Proxes 255/60/17 tires, and they weighed in at 55 lbs a piece...with the 20x9 SRT8 rims, and a Falken Ziex 275/45/20 tire, they weigh in at 75 lbs....a 20lb increase per corner...

They do look really good...but sometimes I wonder if I shouldn't go back to 17's....lol!
