Lets explore together

Just bought a Trailhawk now I am looking for somewhere to get it dirty near Longmont Colorado. PM me on here if you want to set up an easy ride near Boulder bounty.

Congrats on the new Jeep! Don't really know the trails in your area, I'm in the Springs and tend to run trails around Divide and Buena Vista.

Check out the "Grand Cherokee Trailhawks" group on Facebook. The guy who started it - Jon Baker is on this forum too but is in the Denver area.

Plenty of good trails west of Boulder. Pick up the book 'Colorado Backroads & 4-Wheel Drive Trails Vol 2' by Charles A. Wells. You could spend all summer exploring all the trails in that book. Then next year you can work on the trails in Vol 1

Yep, great books. Chuck got his start 4 wheeling with my club "Colorado Four Wheelers" in the late '90s. There are at least 3 pics of my old TJ on area 1 and 6 trails in volume 1 and I'm actually mentioned by name in the second edition acknowledgements.

He also has trail books for Utah, Arizona and California.

Re: Lets explore together

I did the switzerland tail this weekend which was basically just a rocky dirt road but it was really nice. Is that the Gobi Stealth rack on your Trailhawk BigCat? Ive been looking at that one wanting to see if anyone has anything to say about it?

Glad you got to get it out and have a little fun. Yes it's the Gobi Stealth rack and I love it. I think there are at least 3 other GC Trailhawk owners with the Gobi rack on this forum.

Being a local Denver company they did the basic install for free and I paid extra to have them wire and install the the 6 LED light bars. I love the look and the functionality too.

Beware when the mod bug bites it bites hard!

Hey bud! I just moved to Longmont late last year and have been looking for someone to go off roading with. I have quite a long list of mods i've done and plan on doing. In fact I am getting my Gobi Stealth rack and Rigid 40" LED bar installed later this month. Checkout my build thread in my signature.
