Have you been? Once we're set up, maybe we can exchange. lol I'm thinking of getting a place in Chiang Mai, or if finances allow, a place near the beach.

That's, in reality, a small part of the Thai experience. Unfortunately, in the eye of public opinion, it's the only thing Thailand offers. Not true. There is so much more. I've been a few times, and I love it.

Re: Marlin, indahouse!

Mate, I know that, you seem to have missed my dry humour again.

From what I've seen, it's a beautiful place, lots of nice places to visit, great scenery, very cheap, the list goes on.
I'm wanting to do Vietnam ASAP.

No, I got you. That was more for the unenlightened that hang on your every word! lol

Either on my next vacation time, or right before I take her to America, my wife and I want to make a 2-3 week run around S.E. Asia. Bali, Boracay, Singapore, Malaysia, Vietnam, Cambodia, and then maybe Japan for a short weekend.

Re: Marlin, indahouse!

Mmmmm, Cambodia, i know a guy whom owns a hotel there with accomodation and he does 5 day adventure trail bike rides, we were scheduled to go two years ago, but there was too many tourists getting their heads cut off in the jungle at the time, so we gave it a wide berth. Must make new plans to get there again someday

Yeah, Cambodia is truly lawless. No infrastructure at all. I would do the same in Thailand though. No real dangers there. Hmmm... maybe that's what I'll set up. Bike trails near the beach.
