Midnight Blu

Hey Members, just bought a Midnight Blue 2002 Grand Cherokee Limited 4.7HO, with an amazing 54k miles on it. Love it!
The 10 way adjustable seat is not lifting or going down on the back part of the lever, anyone have solutions, or fixes?

Re: Midnight Blu

Welcome to the garage.
Did you try to adjust the seat while standing next to the jeep? Many times the moving parts need some lubrication.
It can ofcourse be a failed motor, wiring problem or switch problem.

Re: Midnight Blu

I pulled the four seat bolts. turned it up so I could see, switch seems to work, wiring seams ok, the motor jolts back and forth when the lever is pushed, but wont turn the corkscrew drive, maybe the gears are jammed?

Re: Midnight Blu

You could try some WD40 to get it running again, but should put some grease on it for the long run. If WD40 doesn´t work out, then probably the only way is to open up the motor gearbox and see what is wrong.

Re: Midnight Blu

Yes, I'm afraid that is what I'm going to have to do, getting to it and taking it all apart is not what I want to do, but I might have to, have you done that on your car? What year is your car and did you get it in Brazil?
