Nav system problem / question

Hello I am a new member as of today. I have had 3 jeeps; ZJ, WJ, and now a WK. My username is blazermaniac because I am a Portland Trailblazer fan AND I have owned a 73 K5 Blazer since 1995, but please don't hold that against me! Last week I bought a 2010 WK with the 5.7 Hemi, loaded with black 2-tone leather interior, AEV wheels w/Goodyear duratracs. Looks and drives like new.

My issue today is:

I have the 730N RER Nav system in my 2010 WK. Everything works fine except loading music to the HDD. CD's play, the AUX jack works for my IPOD, and the USB port works; I uploaded some pictures, and it recognizes flash drives.

When I try to copy from CD, I hit the "from CD" icon, the icon flashes and beeps like it's working, but does nothing.

When I try to copy from USB, it shows the folders and tracks on the screen, and I can check the boxes by each track, but nothing happens. When I hit DONE, it says 0 songs copied. When I selected about 30 songs, it showed the downloading icon with flashing arrow for a few seconds but still said 0 songs copied.

I tried deleting all music from the HDD. It says "HDD 0" but when I try deleting it hangs on the "please wait while deleting files" screen.

The previous owner said he left a bunch of music on there, and it worked fine for him.

Someone please tell me there is some kind of trick to it. It seems so simple but it just doesn't work! I really don't think the hard drive is bad since everything else works...

I would appreciate anyone's expertise / experience on this, thanks!
