On my 97 ZJ 4x4, I have recently replaced both of the wheel bearing hub assemblies on the front. For a few days, all was well.
Upon the 3rd day, it started making a very noticeable but not too horrible loud grinding type noise. Similar to if the calipers were squeezing the rotor. But upon applying brakes, noise did not go away. Next day noise was so intense in the front it was the same sound of a washing machine on a crazy high spin cycle BUT goes completely away when slightly steered to the right. When centered noise returns.
Anyone have clue? Front differential? Bad bearing? Drive train? *Note: Transmission has been slipping* It's not currently being driven due what's going on with it to prevent further damage.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
