"New" 2007 WK Plans

Good Day all,

Well I lucked out and snagged a surplus military 2007 WK for $7800! The best part...it only has 28000Km (17000miles)! I'm looking for some project ideas. Of the top of my head:

- LED's for the interior
- Custom seat covers
- Plastic Dip the wheels
- Plastic Dip the entire body (Anthracyte Grey)
- Grill options (PD, mesh)
- Headlight and taillight upgrades
- stereo upgrade

Obviously that is a long and potentially expensive list. So I would be looking to do as much as I can "On the Cheap."

Any advice you might be able to provide would be greatly appreciated.

CB

Re: "New" 2007 WK Plans

It has the 3.7l V6. It's a "plain-janer" laredo in a grey/green. I would post some pics but can't seem to get them off of the site.

Here's the link to the auction:

https://www.gcsurplus.ca/mn-eng.cfm?...L&sf=ferm-clos

The interior needs lots of "TLC." A quick shampoo will clean it up but I might do some leatherette custom seat covers. I was thinking a slight lift and some more aggressive looking set of tires.

I could just clean it up and sell it for $3000 more than I paid for it but I think it will be a long term project.

You're right on the tlc part but it should be a fun project in the long run of things. You should come check out my build thread sometime for ideas or any of the other builds going on right now.

These guys have some good stuff going...

Re: "New" 2007 WK Plans

Welcome! Hope you can bring up some ideas or questions about the 3.7.. We are all somewhat or experienced enough to answer your questions about the 3.7 especially Jeff.

What color LEDs you going interior with? You should do a whole LIGHT remodel HIDs and everything you won't regret it bro.

Call me crazy, but i wanted to go with an all red interior light config. Very tactical and preserves your night vision 😎.

HIDs seem to be a must as well! What are the ins and outs? I've seen upgrades versus replacements...which is better?

Haha tell me about it on the red my passenger lights are red and my foot lights as well! The two main ones are led white just for me.

HIDs I have them on my lows and fogs light up about 5 lanes lol I'm sure Twp other members can tell you that if your windows aren't tinted they will go through and through bro.
