After three Range Rovers, two Volvo XC90s I've decided to give American engineering (with some Italian touches) a try. The car looks, feels, drives great and everything works! Unfortunately it is also driving us (my wife is scared of it and now refuses to drive it) and the Fiat/Jeep garage, that cannot locate the cause, CRAZY! The Jeep, 5700 kilometers, has developed a noise just behind the dash that has been described as a fog horn, trumpet or dying cow noise. It usually sets in, after driving a few km, about 20 seconds into stopping at a red light (a low pitch), again when we start driving (a high pitch), and most intensely when we stop and turn off the car (all pitch variations). The dash vibrates in unison with the intensity of the noise. Please somebody HELP!
