Since it's a special edition I figured it would ship with the HID package but seeing as all the promotional pics are of the Halogen version I'm not so sure.
I've been wondering too. This edition as a concept at the auto shows had HIDs.

Re: New Grand Cherokee Altitude order!

Seems like there was a snag in production. I know some sold orders aren't being filled. The Jeep website list starting price at @33.5k. Which I'd assume is a 2wd model. Its like.they're leaving off the Laredo E group which is 2k and required for an Altitude. I gave up last week and bought an X. White is the color to get though! Ill patiently wait for the 8 speed and 8.4" touchscreen.

This is starting to become common with Chrysler - advertising a lower "base" price and then making options "mandatory".

The actual starting price for the Altitude was $35,595 for 4x2 models and $37,595 for 4x4 models.

A loaded 4x4 5.7L Altitude model would have a sticker of well over $42,000... that's more than $13,000 over the base Laredo 4x4 price!!!

Re: New Grand Cherokee Altitude order!

i got one priced out

5.7 V8
pano roof
bi xenons
navigation
rear camera
keyless entry/push button start

and these are all things that shouldnt come on the laredos, $40k without any negotiations. this truck can def be picked up for under $38k. these options make it seem lmore like a limited than a laredo, unless someone sees more of a difference than i do
