Re: New Guy from KY
Well, I'm one of the pioneers of the WK modifications and SRT8 conversion. I chose to go with the mild version as opposed to the wild version like Scott did.
Yes, I have an early (02/2005) Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo, which currently has 9,883 miles on the clock and is barely broken in. I have a lot of time, money, blood, sweat and tears into this truck and I vowed I was gonna try to save it as I plan on not ever buying another new vehicle again or doing some extreme modifications to it like this WK.
Here is what has been done to the truck to wet everyone's appetite:
2005 (WK) GC 4.7L, QTII, 28F – Bright Silver Metallic
Magnaflow CAT Back, Leather, K&N CAI, FilterMAG, Sunroof, Factory Security System/Remote Start/Navigation/ Boston Acoustics/DVD Infotainment/Sirius/iPod Int. Kit/U-Connect/SmartBeam Mirror/Rear Park Assist Sensors/Rear Camera, Painted: SRT8 Side Sills/Door Handles/Tailgate Brow/Rear Spoiler. Chrome: Side Body Moldings/Taillight Guards, SRT8 Roof Rails, Class IV Towing Package, Skid-Plates/Off-Road Package, Cabin Air Filter, Front & Rear Stainless Door Entry Guards, Sylvania Silverstar Ultras, Premium Floor & Slush Mats, Leather Cell Phone Holder, (2) Jeep Cargo Nets, (2) Jeep Storage Bags, Jeep Cargo Liner, Boston Badges, Cargo Security Cover, Jeep Search and Rescue Bag, Jeep Roadside Safety Kit, SRT8 Shift Knob, Bright Pedals, SRT8 Wheels & Tires (4-20x9") w/ Nitto NT 420s in 255/45/R20, SRT8 Grille, SRT8 front bumper, SRT8 Painted Mirrors, Chrome Belt Moldings, Chrome Quarter Window Assemblies and SRT8 Design badges.
Whew! I just had a flash back of how much money I invested in this plain Jane V8 Laredo!
I have lots of take off parts and new parts in the boxes that I changed my mind about during the build, so send me a PM of anything you may be looking for, more than likely I have it...
I have things like the factory door handles, rear tailgate brow, mirrors, stereo, chrome and painted silver grille, Overland brushed aluminum roof rails, chrome and powdercoat front tow hooks, receiver hitch, etc...
Stay tuned, one day I will get pics and a post in the Classifieds section once I get out and clean out the garage! I'd love to unload this stuff to fund the project of finishing the truck. All that is left now is to paint the bumper and I hope to raise enough money selling parts to cover the cost completely.
