Just picked up a new '05 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo (WK) V6 like 30 days ago. Always wanted a Jeep, so when my Civic and I turn a nasty spill into a ditch in December, I made sure to either get an F-150 or a Jeep. Well, I came across this Jeep, and frankly, it was better than any of the trucks I saw.
Over on JeepForum.com, already worked out a complete plan for the Jeep, so hopefully the mod-bug will kick in by end of March and I can get 'er to what I'd like. I am financing the truck, so my mods will be easy and simple mods, nothing overly major. Plan on getting the RC 2'' Lift, definitely need new tires around the size of 265/70r17. Not sure what brand, but I was looking at the Falken Wild Peaks or the BFG TKO, some uppity pricing so that might be a minute or two lol. Along with the lift, I will be picking up some new Struts/Shocks from Kolak. Those are my first mods of choice really. Other than that, a K&N drop in and a tuneup, cause you never know when the dealer or last owner did anything to it.
Those are my plans anyways. So, if anyone has some free time and would like to help a fella out with getting their lift setup? You just hit me up, and a pack of beer, lunch, and some cash can be all yours lol. New to Jeeps, never owned one, but I did own an Xterra I used to work here and there on, so I know some stuff but far from technician standards.
