Sup guys names Thomas. Just got a 2005, 4x4 laredo 3.7 v6, and needed to ask a few questions. First is there supposed to be led lights, that light up the heater ac knobs? Second, the dealer gave me a chewed up key, and half the buttons are gone.. Is it ever possible to get a key so I can use the remote options? Thanks

Hi Thomas , Yes there is led's to light around the dials . If yours are out there is a vendor on here that can replace them for ya.

and yes you can get a new key . you will need both original keys to program it unless you go to a jeep dealer .

Could it possibly be a fuse blown?

Re: New member

I wouldnt think . we have had my wifes replaced a few times under Warranty and I think some of them are out again .

If it was a fuse , there would be more out then just a few of them.

Hey Thomas! Fellow 05 owner here. It is the same for me. This guy does a pretty good job explaining the procedure down to how to replace the lights yourself if you want.

I think the standard bulbs are 194s and as I understand it they overheat and burn out. Several guys on here have talked about replacing them with 5050 LEDs. I have some ordered and am going to give it a shot. I will let you know how it goes.

Re: New member

Yep. Looks like this module wasnt designed to be field serviced. You can buy the module on ebay for around $200.00. I think I can handle the soldering so I am going to try the cheap route.

4x 194 168 5-SMD White High Power LED Car Lights Bulb : Amazon.com : Automotive

I am trying these. The plastic shield slides off and leaves you with about the same bulb surface as a 194.

Re: New member

Here is a good thread that shows you how to replace your inner dash\heater control lights with LED's. If you look around in the same forum this is from - you will find TONS of articles on all of the replacement options and methods!

Installed LEDs in Heater Control/Buttons

Or you could also contact Diboblo our vendor for it!
