Hi. I've come here from the Jeep Wrangler forum. For about three years now my 'project jeep' has been a 1967 Kaiser M715 that a bought from a fellow I met on the M715 forum.
It's a modded forestry service jeep bought from Memphis Equipment. The original owner owned a vehicle equipment company in PA and had his company do most of the mods.
Chevy SBC V-8 conversion ('74 350 c.i. motor, Turbo 350 transmission, GM steering column, power steering and master cylinder).
Converted to 12 volt. (battery moved to front right of engine compartment).
New/rebuilt brake drums, cylinders and pads.
Arctic hardtop and heater conversion (heater core and blower in engine compartment)
Meyer plow and fabbed front bumper and plow mount mounted to the frame.
Since I bought it in 2013, I've rebuilt the rear bumper, added new stainless rear bumper extensions, and mounted new LED HUMVEE turn signals in the rear and round digital LED signals in the front. Tailgate was fabbed from heavy duty sheet metal years ago, I'm always keeping an eye out for an original but the one that is there now works just fine.
Planned mods for this year: Working on refinishing/rust proofing as always, getting new tires (STA Superlugs) and a soft top for the summer.
