Thanks for the welcome.
Yeah I was lucky with the deal and am glad not only for the price but also for discovering the car itself and, in particular the HEMI engine. Its just sooo much fun

Re: New member from Kosovo

Huge welcome from Australia mate!
I don't think I've seen a silver Overland before
Lp Gas conversions are very common here too, though I'm yet to see this generation Hemi with a conversion, did you get an opportunity to drive it much pre-conversion to be able to compare the power loss, or, are you running dual fuel.
Interested in pics of your install mate!

Re: New member from Kosovo

Hey Marlin, funny to get a post from you. Just after I got the jeep a friend send me a link to your jeep as an example of what could be done to the WK. Made a big impression on me. Thanks and congrats on your ride, its looking real good.

I know what you mean for the power issue. Until I got this one I was running a dual fuel 96 Cherokee 4.0 and the power loss when running on LPG was very noticeable anywhere besides in town.

This one is also dual fuel and equipped with a lovato VSI system with two reducers. All the injection generation come with their own ECU for fuel mapping which piggy backs on the carís system and when calibrated properly there is no noticeable power loss.

I do not have access to a dyno but here is the social experiment I conducted. I took two friends, both car enthusiasts and V8 drivers (touareg and yukon denali). I took them to a hill which has a steep stretch of straight road 400 meters long. Full asphalt and no traffic. We did the first test run on gasoline. I left the car on gasoline but told them that I had switched to LPG for comparison and we did the same run. Both claim to have noticed a slight drop in power. We did the run a third time where I switched to LPG but telling them that I put it back on gasoline. This time they claim to have noticed a slight increase in power. Both are still occasionally pissed off when I remind them of this but I think its fair to say that there is no real power loss as in the older generation systems. Having said that it take a couple hours and almost 100 Km drive to properly calibrate the ECU.

Will also add pics of the install

Re: New member from Kosovo

HAHAHA, you messed with their minds and won mate! I'm impressed that there is little if any power difference.
Thanks for your kind comments, look forward to seeing the install pics and hope you decide to stick around!

Kosovo is a small country in the western Balkans which sits between Serbia, Montenegro, Albania and Macedonia. Their parliament declared independence from Serbia in February 2008 but they are recognized as an independent state by only 62 of all 192 countries although it function as an independent state for almost all practical purposes.

Itís a bit smaller than Connecticut and has a population of around 2.2 million which is strongly divided between ethnic lines.

There was ethnic cleansing against the Kosovo Albanians in 1998-99 which led to the displacement of close to 1 million persons and triggered the US led NATO bombing campaign against Serbia which ended the conflict in June 1999. You have to see first hand to believe the level of gratitude that there is for America. Iíll give you just one example. By the morning of 12 September 2001, they had organized themselves to print poster with the US flag that read ďAmerica, we are with youĒ and were at every single shop / window that I could see. Thousands of them. They closed down the main street that evening and lit thousands and thousands of candles on it. You had to push candles with you feet to cross in most parts.

Its made a lot of progress in the past 10 years but the ethnic divisions are deep and the oppressed have sometimes become the oppressors. Its still the single most ethnically cleansed area in Europe.
