Re: New member from Kosovo

Welcome to the Garage! I was stationed in Kosovo for 7 months in '02. I was in Kosovo for the most part but traveled in/to Bosnia/Herzgovena (spelling?) and Albania

Nifty, were you in BoundSteel or up in Film City ? Great that you got to travel, not that common for the guys these days ... You'd not recognize the place, for one we have electricity 24/7 most of the time ...

I got a good deal of gratitude for the Boundsteel crowd. I was hit by a car bomb in December 02 and they took great care of me. After that the PX and APO became life lines

That was right after I had left...I think. I'm pretty sure we left in Nov but I could be wrong. Glad to hear they took good care of you though!

Re: New member from Kosovo

Here are some pics of the Jeep

Nothing Special, Stillen Covers

Not that much to see either but if you look carefully you can see the LPG tank filler in place of the hitch harness plug. Very discrete. The exhaust is a MBRP 3" cat back but the guys who installed it took an initiative and made it stick out. That is being fixed tomorrow. I like the sound when it starts and is idle but its gets a real annoying sound at around 1900 - 2100 rpm and I'd like to know if that can be fixed.

The wood trim did not do it for me so I used some 3M Di-Noc dry carbon vinyl to take care of that. I like both the look and the feel and will have to deal with the steering wheel eventually. It's just that I never took one off and need to set the proper amount of time aside to do it.

Did all four doors with the dry carbon thing. Looks a lot better in my books.

This is a shot of my dirty engine bay and was supposed to show the LPG installation but I realise that its not that visible from this short. However, you can see the LPG ECU next to the battery and the LPG ignition rail on top of the coil pack on the left of the picture. The vaporisers are on the top left of the engine bay but can be hardly seen here. If there is an interest I will post some more pics and details of this installation, how it works, consumption, ...
