New Member, looking for advice on buying '15 Sahara JKU

Hi, I'm new here although I've been reading posts on this forum for some time. I will also be a 1st time Jeep buyer (hopefully soon). Any tips on ordering & not getting ripped off?
I originally wanted/picked out a '14 Sahara JKU fully loaded in Granite, however it sold before I could even make the drive to go look at it in person & haven't found another with those specs since.
Since then I've been reading through different Jeep forums and found out the color I wanted isn't going to be available on the '15. However, I'm really liking Tank from what I've seen on the net and would really like tan leather. I'm also curious what the Copper Brown color is going to look like. So for now I'm holding off from running to the dealer to order anything until I do some more homework on buying.
Any suggestions/tips are appreciated.
Thanks in advance!
~Val~

Welcome Val,

I am precisely in the same predicament as you. I had a fully loaded 2014 JKU Altitude in that awesome Amp'd color in my sights. I took it for an extended test drive, then went home to think about it. I went back the next day to buy it and it was sold! Anyhew, Amp'd, like Granite is gone for 2015, so I am also looking at Copper Brown.

Here is an image of a Jeep Liberty wearing "Canyon Brown," which is the same color as the renamed Copper Brown (check the paint code to verify)

I happen to like this color alot, and can already imagine the mods I would be doing to make the color contrast nicely.

I don't have any tips for you, as I haven't bought one yet. But good luck to you. It kinda sucks that they killed off some great colors from last model year!

Ahh Yes I have seen that brown color before. I like it, but really need to see it on a Jeep. I'm leaning more towards the Tank color for a Sahara. I'm just gonna sit back and wait just a lil longer though, I really want to see that Copper Brown.
I'm like you, already thinking of what I can do with it once I get one
I have a long list of accessories already saved on my Amazon wish list.
I wish they'd update the Jeep.com site so we can see these new colors and "build" ours already!

I'm not sure where you live but there's a dealer not far from where I am that has a '14 Altitude in Amp'd, it looks awesome. (I'm not sure why the ad says it's a Sahara - I didn't see any Sahara badges on it, and the description of the Jeep says it's an Altitude.) Only thing I think it's lacking is the Nav system, it only has basic Sirius Radio/CD/MP3 player with hands free calling. Here's the link : For Sale | Morehead City NC .

Good luck to you
