New Rubi - color dismay

Hi, everyone,
I'm a first-timer, just bought a 2015 Rubicon in Sunset Orange pearlcoat, sight unseen. I fell in love with the color through internet pics, and my dealer had to find me one at a dealer in another state. So I went to see it yesterday - it was orange, all right, but no pearl! So disappointed!

Apparently the Sunset Orange pearlcoat has pearl in its formula, but so many flattening agents that the pearl is completely hidden and it just looks like flat orange! I went to look at all the other colors in the Jeep lot, and eventually the orange kinda grew on me - I still like it better than the other 2015 colors - but it would be SO MUCH BETTER if it was really a pearlcoat!

Does anyone have any suggestions for making the orange look better? Deeper, richer, even maybe pearlier???

Yes... look at it under different lighting conditions. That's what the pearl does, it shifts.

Okay. I've only seen it in overcast and in lots of rain - the dealer said it would look different in the sunlight (but it should look a little pearl in the rain...) Thanks for the encouragement

I brought it home today and it was lots of fun to drive! I haven't had a manual transmission since my first car, a VW bug, 40 years ago. This is going to be a fun ride, especially up in the mountains in the summer.

And Hi everyone!

Julia
