New to post- 2011 Jeep Cherokee issues
Hi everyone, new to site. I have a 2011 Jeep Grand Cherokee and the fuel pump continuously runs when the vehicle is off, which kills the battery. The dealership looked at it and said it was the relay switch that is built into the TIPM (Totally Integrated Power Module). So one option would be to replace the whole TIPM, which apparently are on back order and none are in sight to come in anytime soon.
Second option is to by-pass the relay in the TIPM with a few easy, less expensive, parts. Which is what I'm going to do in a few days when the parts come in.
I've looked online and this is apparently an issue with the TIPM that is starting to emerge as these vehicles get a little age on them. I was wondering if anyone has heard of this fix, to by-pass the TIPM, in order to resolve this issue. And if others are having similar TIPM issues.
I can list the parts for the fix if anyone wants to know. I want to make sure I get the right fix for this issue.
