New to these forums -- Best car buy ever made
Hey everyone -- new to these forums.
Recently been looking around for a car I was 110% satisfied driving without spending an arm and a leg. I was originally driving a 2007 Chevy Silverado that I used to go to the race track and tow a trailer. In 2014, I got out of racing and was looking for something more "economical" instead of filling up a 25 gallon truck with a V8 to drive myself around.
I went to the Jeep dealership and my eye was instantly attracted to the SRT8 of course, but remembering why I needed to get out of the V8 I couldn't justify the 70K for the SRT8. I continued to visit other dealerships and landed on a 2014 Cadillac ATS 2.0T. At the time, I fell in love with that car, but I have kids, dogs, and hobbies that take up alot of car space. Not really thinking I bought the car and had it for a year. In November, I decided to just drive over to the Jeep Dealership and "look", well atleast that's what I told the wife. I looked around a bit and not 100% satisfied with the price tags I was seeing nor the selection of non-basic Jeeps I almost left, until -- (duh-duh-duh) I saw the 2015 Jeep Grand Cherokee, Altitude (White). I was drawn to it and started looking around and that was it. I love the fact that although it's only a Laredo, it still feels somewhat quality still. It doesnt have that cheap black plastic all over the outside (which i literally cannot stand), upgraded seats, etc. After only owning my Cadillac, I traded her in (and ate every bit of depreciation in the process) and got the Jeep Grand Cherokee.
The ONLY thing I wish Jeep would have done was put the "SRT" headlights on it, which I will eventually replace.
Well, thanks for reading -- and I look forward to learning from everyone
